Bee Lab Graduate Students Present Research at the OSBA Fall Conference
Our graduate students from Dr. Reed Johnson’s Bee Lab attended the Ohio State Beekeepers Association (OSBA) Fall Conference to present their research, share ideas, and connect with Ohio’s beekeeping community!
Adam Foster, a PhD candidate in Dr. Johnson’s lab, presented his research on the effects of pesticides on honey bees, bumble bees, and squash bees.
Dahee Ahn, another PhD student in the lab, shared her research on developing methods to control Varroa mites, one of the most serious parasites affecting honey bees.
Lily Johnson, also a PhD student, presented her research on honey bee pollination in soybeans, along with her ongoing work interviewing soybean farmers about their farming practices.
We’re proud of our students for sharing their research and engaging with Ohio’s beekeeping community!
