2026 Insect Night Walk
We, as the Ohio State University Entomology Graduate Student Association, successfully wrapped up this year's Insect Night Walk recently!
First of all, we would like to sincerely thank all EGSA members, graduate students, volunteers, and staff who participated in this year’s Insect Night Walk!
This beloved Wooster tradition, which has continued for over 15 years, welcomed approximately 200 members of the local community this year. Through this event, students were able to share their research, knowledge, and passion for insects with the public.
The Insect Night Walk is held once a year in Wooster, typically between June and July, and features a variety of creative, hands-on insect-themed booths where visitors can explore and experience the fascinating world of insects—especially the nocturnal bug world.
And this free, family-friendly community outreach event offers unique experiences such as guided blacklight tours, firefly viewings, and opportunities to safely interact with ambassador insects, including honey bees, bumble bees, and a variety of exotic species featured in the Bug Zoo.
If you were unable to join us this year, we hope you won’t miss it next year! For updates on the next event schedule, be sure to follow us on Instagram and stay connected for future announcements.
