Recently, several Ohio State University faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students from the department of Entomology, Environmental Sciences Graduate Program (ESGP), and Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology program (EEOB) attended the Entomological Society of America Annual Meeting 2025.
This meeting is the largest entomology conference in the United States and one of the most significant insect science gatherings in the world!
Our students had the opportunity to present their research, network with others in their areas of interest, and engage in meaningful discussions about their work.
In addition, our students’ research was recognized at a high level — twelve students received awards!

Congratulations to all of our award winners, and to everyone who represented Ohio State with excellence at ESA 2025!
This year, EGSA also hosted a merch table, where we sold honey extracted by graduate students and undergraduate research assistants from the Rothenbuhler Honey Bee Lab at OSU, along with a variety of insect themed ceramics, shirts, accessories and other items.
We’re planning to bring the merch table back next year, so stay tuned and show your support!
